Observed weighted mean scores on frequency of smoking (0 = nonsmoker in past year; 1 = <3 times in past year and <3 times in past month; 2 = 3–10 times in past year and <3 times in past month; 3 = ≥11 times in past year and <3 times in past month, or 3–5 times in past month; 4 = ≥6 days in past month and <3 cigarettes per day; 5 = ≥6 days in past month and 3–7 cigarettes per day; 6 = ≥6 days in past month and about one-half pack per day; 7 = ≥6 days in past month and a pack or more per day) by smoking trajectory class.
